Bath Time

Nicolas has finally come to like bathtime. For the first couple weeks after the sponge baths ended it was a crying fit. Like I was using acid instead of water, screaming, crying, kicking....no fun. I even had the cutest little bath tub set. None of that was making him any happier about the whole process. Then I received some sage advice from Rachel and Erin. I changed to the cheap foam pad that lays in the tub, got undressed and got in with him. Something in the comfort or the safety of having mom in there with him, made it all better. Or maybe he was just laughing at what pregnancy had done to mom's body. Either way, it's a happy experience now. We soap up dirty little hands and play in the water. We scrub up dirty bottoms and clean out the toejam. All of this to smiles and giggles.
Another milestone was reached today. Nic rolled over (3 times)! Not in a row across the floor, but 3 separate times from his tummy to his back.

He's rolling over? Wow! I feel like that happened so fast! I'm so glad the bath is a better experience for him now. It's so much better on everyone's sanity -- especially mom's. :) The baby industry is making gazillions off a bunch of crap that no one really needs. I love that the foamy spongey thing is the thing that works!

aw but the other bath was so cute! see i am still not a mom and so i can still believe in the cute unnecessary baby stuff!! (unless it blinks, sings, moves, and lights up all at once- even i know all a kid needs is a cardboard box)
