In case you hadn't heard, we did it again. We are having number 2 due February 28th. I don't know if I will post pictures and commentary on this blog or not, but I will continue somewhere. I think its time to blog on another topic other than me and my family.
I have the urge to blog on the stupid things people say to pregnant women, but some of those comments may come from people who read this too (not my wonderful family, of course), but people I see at work or other places I may be other than home and work.
Stay tuned...

Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter Sunday! No, we didn't get dressed up and go to church and have eggs benedict for brunch and hunt for eggs in the backyard. If I said we did, would you believe it?
We had an even better and more soul cleansing day in my opinion. Nic and I walked 1.5 miles to Starbucks (he actually rode in the jogger) where we met Ted and had coffee. The we walked back and hit a neighborhood park and played on the big playset. Then he rode his bicycle around the neighborhood. All tuckered out, he took a long nap with Ted. I actually got to read a couple chapters of a book. After the nap we went outside to garden and play with our chicken bubbles (which have nothing to do with eating at Bojangles). I finished it up with an evening glass of wine (or 2). Perfect day!

Don't Let Nic Drive the Bus
Nic loves busses as you may know if you have been reading this. He has little Tonka bus, a little wooden bus, an old animal cracker bus and so I got him a Playschool bus with 4 little passengers. I believe it originally had 6 passengers, but only 4 made the cut on the way to the consignment sale. It was $2 so I can't complain.
Nic was "driving" the bus around the living room last night and ran it smack into the coffee table. On impact one of the little passengers flew out and toppled across the floor.
"Oh No" I cried, "Nic one of your passengers got ejected from the bus"!
"Oh No" cries Nic and he runs over and grabs his toy ambulance and shoves the little passenger in the back!
"Yeah, you are going to save the little passenger"!
Then he rams the ambulance into the coffee table and ejects the little passenger out of the back.
Poor little bus passengers.

Evolution of Going Out
The other Thursday Ted and I had decided we needed to go out for dinner (Nic too) on Friday. So along comes Friday afternoon and it didn't quite go as planned and I got to thinking about how I used to go out when I was much younger and without a husband or child.
5pm - get done with work or classes and head to the gym.
6:30pm - grab something to eat and maybe a little nap.
8pm - hit the shower
9pm - dig through my closet and maybe a friend's closet for something to wear.
10pm - have friends over for a "pre-party".
11pm - head out and hope that we are not too early.
3pm - home and sleep
Now it goes more like this:
5pm - Nic napping
6pm - Ted gets home from work tired, Nic due to get up at any time. I have showered and decided that jeans and a T-shirt is just fine after looking through the other options.
6:15pm -
Ted: you still want to go out.
Me: I guess so, do you?
Ted: not really.
Me: me neither. Maybe we can just go grab pizza tomorrow afternoon.
Ted: that sounds good.
I head back upstairs to put on comfy pants.
8pm - all 3 of us are in bed ready for sleep.
We did go for pizza and playtime in the park on Saturday and I was a much better time!

Let's Get This Potty Started!
Nic has started using the potty!!! Now I know this isn't that exciting for non-parents or even parents of a child that isn't of potty training age, but it is to us.
The best thing has been that he stopped in the middle of a birthday party with all the other kids still playing and told me he had to potty. Seriously - he stopped playing - at someone else's house - and used their potty!
We are very excited!!!

Getting Too Big for Your Tights?
I am not really sure if I should name names here so I will dance around it and you will know what I am talking about. I was watching the latest episode of Bi**est L**ser last night. Though I know better as a degreed and certified trainer, I still enjoy the show. Maybe it's seeing the life-changing results. It's definately not the crying, and crying, and crying some more. Now, I know I have been overly prone to tears on occasion - not something I am proud of - but I don't need to watch adults sob for 2 hours. Of course certain contestants have more right to cry than others. Abby, for instance, who lost her husband, 3 year old daughter and infant son in a car accident. Yes, Abby, you have the right to cry a lot, and she was more positive than most.
Anyway, I was watching last night and one of the trainers (I will let you guess which one) said as far as a trainers go "I am the best you can get" (or at least something really close to that).
Seriously???
Seriously???
Has someone gotten too big for their tights? Over the past 15 years working in fitness, I believe I have met some of the best in the fitness field. PhD's that have written the books that other trainers read to learn how to be trainers. Researchers that develop the methods by which we train. In a nutshell, people better than her (oops did I let it slip which trainer it was?).
So I reached for the remote and click, off it went. Done, over, not able to stomach (no pun intended) it anymore.
